Season's Greetings from the Ohio Wesleyan Alumni Relations Office!
We are writing to inform you of some exciting news regarding the 25th Reunions for the classes of 1984, 1985, and 1986.
After several conversations with class leaders, gathering data, and discussions with other institutions, Ohio Wesleyan has decided to take a huge leap and transition the 25th reunion into a "cluster" reunion, or a reunion involving more than one class, celebrating the same reunion! We believe the classes of '84 - '86 are great classes to lead the charge for change as you were trailblazers on campus during a period of transition and innovation.
The intent of the 25th cluster reunion is to generate more excitement about reuniting with classmates, encourage greater alumni attendance, and bring alumni back to campus to celebrate the ties that bind us all to this institution.
With that in mind, we are not only changing the format of the reunion, but we are changing the timeframe. Instead of having the 25th reunion at Alumni Weekend (historically the weekend after Commencement in May), we are going to host the 25th Reunion for the classes of '84 - '86 during Homecoming 2010 (October 8-10, 2010). We've heard from you that the May date is not a good time for you to travel due to commitments with your children, families, and work. We hope the Homecoming date will better suit your schedules, allowing you to attend your reunion. Who knows, maybe your kids will want to tag along for an official college visit!
For now, please save the dates: October 8-10, 2010 for your 25th reunion. We will be in touch with more information as we plan for this new and exciting way to celebrate your 25th OWU reunion!
